Building Our Skills – Making Fenestration, Glass and Glazing a Career of Choice put two members of staff from Strata Windows through their paces recently on its four-day practical training course and one-day introduction to surveying course. Course attendees Jordan Simpson Dono and Lewis Atherton are both installers at the Staffordshire domestic and commercial window and door installer.
Commenting on the training provided, Sharon Parkes, CMIOSH, Strata’s Director of Health, Safety & Compliance said:

We are great supporters of the practical training offered by Building Our Skills, and have been very pleased with the quality of support offered by the initiative. Jordan and Lewis let me know that they found the practical training four-day course to be ideal for beginners. I was impressed that they were assessed throughout, and that the course was even adapted to suit their individual abilities. Being able to complete the Surveyors course as well was a great use of their time, giving them additional skills and building their confidence. I would definitely recommend the courses to other fenestration industry employers who wish to support the development of their employees’ careers.”
